It is used internally by our team to keep anyone in sync with his e-mail, allowing sending and receiving with a WAP 1.1-compatible device, such as WAP-enabled mobile phone or PDA. Some of the key features of this work are:
- compatibility with virtually any operating system capable of running IIS/PWS or Apache as web server and Perl 5 for CGI scripts (tested with FreeBSD 4.3, Linux Mandrake 8.0, Windows NT 4 Server, Windows 2000 Advanced Server, Windows 98);
- the ability to send and receive e-mail with any mail server with POP3 and SMTP support;
- compatibility with virtually any WAP 1.1-compatible device (tested with Nokia 6210).
